Give Our Schools a Hand

Originated in 1988, the purpose of GOSH is not only to show appreciation for teachers in the community, but also to encourage area businesses, parents, and civic groups to take an active role in enhancing the quality of education. Held annually, GOSH is a celebration that honors more than 120 Teachers of the Year from Cobb County, Marietta City and post-secondary education systems. This salute to public education is one of the largest in the nation.

Teacher of the Year Blitz

Due to the impact of COVID-19 the Give Our Schools a Hand program will look a bit different this year. Our goal for 2020 is to show as much support for our Teachers of the Year and our schools systems as possible. One way of doing that is to help ensure teachers and students are successful both virtually and in the classroom. We will be providing teachers with baskets of supplies that have been requested, to help them and Cobb's students through this new and challenging year. Baskets will be hand delivered to teachers in December.
