Cobb Executive Women

Cobb Executive Women inspires women to achieve success personally, professionally and within their community.

Monthly luncheons highlight the key roles Cobb’s women leaders play in the economy and community. In addition, the program explores how women-owned and managed businesses continue to thrive in the pro-business environment fostered by the Cobb Chamber.

In the words of our Chairwoman, Sheronica Burgess, “Our communities are better when we are at our best. And while the past accomplishments of CEW are notable, let us leverage 2024 to shape the future.” We invite you to join us in 2024 as we IGNITE! Standing on the successes of 2023, and years past, we are continuing to move and blaze the trail ahead – arising and holding the torch that illuminates the path ahead.

This is accomplished by:

  • Cultivating relationships among our membership.
  • Connecting women with leadership development and mentoring programs to build new skills and support their career.
  • Promoting and advocating for women and diversity in leadership.
  • Supporting community organizations that focus on women and girls.

Joining Cobb Executive Women

Cobb Executive Women (CEW) membership is available to women whose organizations are Cobb Chamber members. CEW defines prospective members as individuals in one of following categories:

  • Corporate Executives: Women who manage budgets and teams (if appropriate for your industry) and who have significant company-wide impact in at least one functional area, such as sales, marketing, or finance.
  • Business Owners: Women whose full-time role is running businesses registered with the secretary of state and have a valid business license, if required; owners of multi-level marketing businesses are not eligible.
  • Nonprofit and Government Executives: Women who lead nonprofit and government teams and manage organization budgets as their full-time endeavors.
Application Process:

To be considered for membership, please complete the Cobb Executive Women Membership Application. Applications are considered by the CEW Steering Committee monthly and a response can be expected within 45 days. A member of our Membership Committee may reach out to you in advance to review your application and answer any questions you have about CEW.

Sponsorship:

Sponsorship by a current CEW member is required for all applicants.  Please have your sponsor complete a Sponsor Form for New Member Applicant. If you do not have a sponsor, please indicate such in the membership application, so our Membership Committee can help you meet CEW members and find a sponsor.

CEW is always looking for new members who are at the executive level with their companies, have a strong record of community involvement, are members of the Chamber and are responsible for decision making and managing staff. Most CEW events are members only, and there is an application process. Dues for CEW are $150 per year, with a one-time $25 new member fee.

Cobb Chamber Chairman’s Circle members can receive complimentary dues for one year, upon acceptance, for new CEW members only. This discount does not cover luncheon costs.

Potential members are invited to attend no more than two meetings.

At our events, we aim to create an elevated networking experience for executive women that fosters these deeper connections and encourages personal and professional growth. In that spirit, we ask that our members and guests use their time together at events to focus on nurturing those connections and not on business development. That said, we hope that our members will think of each other first for their business needs and when sharing referrals outside of our monthly events.
