Cobb Young Professionals

Cobb Young Professionals is a group within the Cobb Chamber of Commerce dedicated to the promotion and encouragement of young professionals in the work place. The Cobb Chamber is always on the lookout for a group of savvy, diverse young professionals under 40 that have strong educational backgrounds, a dedicated work ethic and a desire for career development strategy to become involved in CYP.


Through monthly meetings, young professionals will have an opportunity to network with other young professionals and hear from leaders in our communities on topics that will influence them within the workplace.

The main CYP networking social or program is typically held on the last Thursday of each month; however, CYP holds other smaller workshops, leadership luncheons and tours monthly. CYP also offers opportunities to get involved and give back to the community throughout the year. CYP tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at exciting venues in metro Atlanta to learn more about local industries, and stronger relationships are formed with group outings to area sporting events.

There are no extra membership costs to be part of Cobb Young Professionals. If your company is a Cobb Chamber member, most CYP events are free to attend. If you are not a Cobb Chamber member but would still like to become involved with CYP, you are welcome to attend events for a small fee.

Next Generation Mentoring Program

In addition to the events, CYP offers the Next Generation Mentoring Program. Through an application process each year, the program pairs distinguished Cobb leaders with young professional mentees and strives to accomplish two things: to help young professionals make connections with established leaders in Cobb, and to serve as a leadership development tool.

Next Generation Award

Each year Cobb Young Professionals also chooses two outstanding young professionals to receive the Next Generation Award. This award encompasses the essence of Cobb Young Professionals.
