Representative Bert Reeves was elected into the Georgia General Assembly in 2014 to represent House District 34, in Cobb County, which contains parts of Marietta and Kennesaw. Bert is an attorney, where he works as a partner in the Marietta law firm Garrett McNatt Hennessey & Carpenter 360, LLC. Before joining GMHC360, he spent five years as a prosecutor, serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Cobb County.
An active member of his community, Bert is a member of the Marietta Rotary Club, the Kennesaw Business Association (board member), and a graduate of Leadership Cobb. He has served on the board of directors for The Strand Theatre, Reconnecting Families, Marietta Visitors Bureau, Leadership Cobb Alumni Association Executive Board, Cobb County Bar Association Board of Trustees, Junior League of Cobb-Marietta Community Advisory Board, and served as Chaplain for the Cobb Bar Assocation. Bert chaired the leadership program, Cobb Youth Leadership, for 2012-2013. He was named the “Ross Adams Cobb County Young Lawyer of the Year” in 2012 by the Cobb Bar Association and is an alumnus of the Georgia State Bar Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy. |
