Cobb County is committed to developing a skilled and competitive workforce within our community, and we are taking the lead in innovative approaches to cultivating and preparing our local talent pool for the 21st Century economy. Cobb has long been known for its excellent schools, housing one of the largest, most comprehensive, and most competitive education communities in the Southeast. The Cobb Chamber has developed an outstanding partnership with our education community to ensure that our students are given the greatest opportunity to succeed in tomorrow’s economy.

  • K-12: Cobb is home to the second-largest school district in the state and one of the top 25 largest in the U.S. Beyond just size, with the highest test scores in Metro Atlanta’s core counties, our students consistently exceed national and state averages. We offer 6 magnet programs for advanced studies and career pathways programs that are second to none. Marietta High School has been named one of the top high schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report (2012) and by Newsweek (2010).
  • Chattahoochee Technical College: Cobb houses the largest technical college in the state, with over 10,000 students enrolled in a broad range of courses. Chattahoochee Technical College has built tremendous partnerships with employers throughout Metro Atlanta, and the Cobb Workforce Partnership seeks to connect more students with these innovative, employer-driven programs even sooner.
  • Kennesaw State University: Kennesaw State University is a comprehensive university recognized for its entrepreneurial spirit, global engagement and sense of community. As Georgia’s third-largest university and one of the fifty largest public universities in the country, Kennesaw State offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees, including an increasing number of doctoral programs. Kennesaw State is committed to becoming a world-class academic institution positioned to broaden its academic and research missions and expand its scope on a local, national and global level. 
  • Life University: Life offers a variety of revolutionary Undergraduate and Graduate programs rooted in innovation and purpose, along with the world’s largest and most philosophically sound Doctor of Chiropractic program
  • Georgia Highlands College – Marietta Campus: Georgia Highlands College serves as a point of access to higher education in Northwest Georgia, with a location on KSU’s Marietta campus serving nearly 1,000 students in the heart of Cobb.
