The Cobb Chamber had its annual Softball Game on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at Tolleson Park in Smyrna, where the Chamber Chargers took on the Government Gorillas once again in this demonstration of ultimate competition and machismo. After a brutal struggle in what could have been the most exciting athletic event of the year, the Chamber Chargers defeated the Government Gorillas, squashing their long-time winning streak.
Otis Brumby, III, of the Marietta Daily Journal, was named MVP for the Chamber Chargers after coming in for the winning run. Cobb Chamber Chairman Rob Garcia, of Bank of North Georgia, had a game-changing play as well, with a long fly ball into left field. Congratulations to the Chamber Chargers, and may the Government Gorillas bring it on next year. |
