Bunz N Gunz is a 5k unlike any other… if you’re up to the challenge. It all starts with a family friendly 5k in downtown Kennesaw with the option to add the 5k Challenge. With the 5k Challenge, after your 5k run, you’ll have a ten-minute breather, before going into the ring. In the ring, you’ll be faced with Crossfit style challenges, designed to really test your fitness level. At the sound of your Bunz N Gunz Trainer’s whistle, you’re off to battle pull-ups, tires, sledgehammer, pulling a car and more, while your trainer times you at each individual station. A male and female winner will be awarded for each of the age groups: Student (12-18), College (19-25) Adult (26-50) and Master (50 and up). How will you measure up? This group does not require WCBA membership and is an open seat networking structure. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. with networking until 8:15 a.m. and those arriving on time will be allowed to give an elevator speech on their business. There is also a 10 minute presentation at each meeting that would be an opportunity available to you. Testimonials and local announcements are also shared. A small table is available to display business cards or marketing materials. Come early to network prior to meeting and/or stay late to network afterwards. As you will hear from the testimonials, there is a lot of business being done in this group!

Mr. Monroe had 30 plus year in sales and marketing with Marriott International and Ritz Carlton. He has worked with many different hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, IHG, Choice, Wyndham, and Independents. He holds a BBA Marketing Georgia Southern University, an MBA in International Studies Georgia State University and is a Certified Sales Trainer and Licensed Georgia Real Estate professional.

Arthur Slotkin, SCORE Volunteer
Mr. Slotkin worked for over thirty years in the computer services and telecommunications industries with Unisys, AT&T and SAIC serving government and commercial clients worldwide. The author of two books about the history of technology, he holds two degrees in engineering from Auburn and Columbia Universities, and a third degree in the history of technology from Georgia Tech.

This 2-hour workshop is held at the Cobb Chamber of Commerce at 240 Interstate North Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30339. You will learn how to prepare a concise, 3 to 8 page mini business plan. This plan is a condensed version of a more traditional business plan, which provides more details. A mini plan includes the same vital information as the longer plan:

· Description of the business, its products and services

· Marketing and sales plan

· Management and operations

· Financial plan

You can use the mini business plan format to introduce your company to prospective investors, lenders, and potential business partners. It also gives you, the owner, a quick view of the strengths and weaknesses of your business, relative to the competition, and its overall feasibility. The workshop emphasizes key financial aspects of starting and running a business with a particular focus on estimating capital requirements and understanding the difference between cash flow and profitability, a critical ‘must-know’ for any entrepreneur.

This is a FREE event for Chamber members. Chamber members please email Jeff Dykes to register for the event. Include your name, company and the name and date of the seminar that you would like to attend.

For general admission, the seminar costs $25. Registration opens approximately two weeks before the event.
