Cobb County Youth Museum
The Cobb County Youth Museum involves children in the learning experience through role playing and lively discussion.  Offering tours with an unfolding narrative of selected historic and cultural interest, the museum was built to enhance school curriculum.  Students can dress in authentic costumes and act out skits that bring history to life. Cobb Symphony Orchestra
A Cobb cultural resource since 1951, the Cobb Symphony Orchestra stands proudly as one of Georgia's finest musical ensembles.  Each season contains rich and diverse offerings of great symphonic masterworks and operatic masterpieces.  The orchestra is in residence at Kennesaw State University.

The Georgia Ballet
Demonstrating the highest artistic standards in dance, this non-profit organization was formed in 1963 representing the finest of classical and contemporary dance.  Goals of the company are to entertain, educate and inspire! (770) 425-0258

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park
The visitors center and park provide information about the Civil War and the battle at Kennesaw Mountain.  Enjoy park trails, hiking and picnicking at permitted areas as well as a panoramic view. (770) 427-4686

Lake Allatoona
Lake Allatoona is one of  America's premier bass-fishing havens. With 11,860 acres, the lake offers 10 swimming beaches and Red Top Mountain State Park, which has campsites and cabins.

Mable House
The plantation home of Mableton's namesake, Robert Mable, served as a hospital during the Civil War and is now home to the South Cobb Arts Alliance.  It houses an arts center that offers art classes for children and adults, an ongoing series of exhibits and much more. (770) 819-3285

Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum
Featuring the Bengaline gown, a silk dress worn in the film by Scarlett on her honeymoon with Rhett in New Orleans. Dr. Christopher Sullivan’s collection has been on display at Kent State University and the Self Family Arts Center in Hilton Head. Most recently, it was exhibited at MGM Studios in Walt Disney World in Orlando. Root House Museum

Silver Comet Trail
This paved trail, formerly an abandoned railroad corridor, offers 12.8 miles of walking, biking, skating, jogging and access to nature.  The complete trail will eventually stretch from Atlanta to Birmingham, Alabama. (770) 528-4381

Six Flags Over Georgia
The oldest and largest theme amusement park in the Southeast, Six Flags Over Georgia draws millions each year with many fun attractions. (770) 948-9290

Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History
The tour includes descriptive exhibits, the General locomotive engine, which played a historic role at the end of the Civil War, and a narrative video.  (770) 427-2117

Stillwell Theater
The Stillwell Theater at Kennesaw State University is a state-of-the-art performance facility opened in 1999.  It hosts an incredible array of concerts and dramatic productions performed by regional ensembles such as the Cobb Symphony Orchestra and nationally-known artists. (770) 423-6650

Sun Valley Beach
Located in Powder Springs, this park features the South's largest swimming pool. (770) 943-5900

Theatre In The Square
One of the Southeast's premier regional theatres, it was a 1988 recipient of the prestigious Governor's Award in the Arts. This 170-seat theater offers a mixture of dramas, comedies and musicals. (770) 422-8369

White Water Park
This Marietta theme park features a variety of water-related attractions and is one of the nation's largest water parks.
