5 Easy Steps to Becoming a Certified Drug Free Workplace

Step 1 – Provide a written Substance Abuse Policy to your employees. Your company must have a drug free workplace policy that meets all of the requirements of the state of Georgia.  We can email you a simple fill-in-the-blank policy.  Below is the state recommended policy.

Step 2 - Your company must conduct limited Drug Testing in any of the following ways:
            - Pre-Employment
            - Reasonable suspicion
            - Routine fitness for duty
            - Post-Rehabilitation based on treatment due to a
              positive test
            - Post-accident, if injury results in loss of work time
            - Random

*Please note: you DO NOT have to test your entire workforce.  Blanket testing and random testing are NOT required for certification!

Step 3 - Your company must conduct 2 hours of Employee Education in your first year of certification and 1 hour each year thereafter.
*Please note: It can be difficult for all of your employees to stop working and attend training at the same time.  Our program participation solves this problem by providing you with monthly newsletters for training.
