Cumberland Area Council

   Steve Byrne joined Mauldin and Jenkins, LLC CPAs in 1979. He practiced in Albany, Georgia until August of 2003, serving primarily family-owned and closely-held businesses, which he finds very rewarding. Since 2003, he has been in the firm’s Atlanta office with a focus in service companies, retirement plans, professional practices, real estate and closely-held businesses. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Cumberland Area Council, Byrne also is the incoming Vice-Chair of Leadership Cobb, a member of Auburn University’s School of Accountancy’s Advisory Board and on the Advisory Board of Devereux Georgia, an intensive residential treatment center for children dealing with serious mental, emotional challenges. He is also active in his church, The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and has served on Kennesaw State University’s School of the Arts Flourish Committee. He and his wife Susan have two daughters and one grandson.

East Cobb Area Council

   John Moeller has served as MUST's Executive Director since 2001 and through his vision has helped MUST grow into one of Georgia's premier servant-leader organizations. As executive director, he manages 50 employees across three counties and a $3.25 million annual operating budget, more than 80% of which is raised directly from the local community. In 2009, the Cobb Chamber of Commerce presented him with the Mack Henderson Public Service Award.

Marietta Area Council

  Jason Waters is a banker with over 13 years of experience in the industry. He is Vice President and a Commercial Lender with Marietta based First Landmark Bank. Waters is a member of the Rotary Club of Marietta and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Southern Polytechnic State University Foundation. Waters is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Cobb and 2007 graduate of Honorary Commanders. He currently serves as the President of the Leadership Cobb Alumni Association. He and his wife Katie live in Marietta and have a 14 month daughter and are expecting their second child.

Northwest Cobb Area Council

   Bill Borden is a full time real estate professional for over three decades. Providing commercial or residential, purchase or refinance loans though Checkpoint Mortgage. He can assist you with home or business real estate sales or leasing at Real Estate Central. In 2009, he was honored and recognized by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and the Kennesaw Business Association as the Kennesaw’s Citizen of the Year. Borden is one of only 672 people in the entire world to have successfully completed the 1,151 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome, Alaska. He and his wife Brenda have a son, a daughter and four grandchildren.

Smyrna Area Council

   Joe Garner is Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Public Affairs of Clear Channel Outdoor-Corporate since January 2007. He is responsible for the growing and protecting of the company’s assets in the Southern United States from New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. He is currently on the Board of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Georgia (OAAG) as the Immediate Past President, while also acting as Chairman of the OAAG PAC. He also sits on the Board of the Atlanta Sports Council. Garner lives in Marietta with his wife and 2 boys.

South Cobb Area Council

   Randy Cook is Senior Vice President and Administrator of WellStar Cobb Hospital a 382 bed hospital in Cobb County. He has operational responsibility for the hospital and provides leadership for its 2100 employees, 500 physicians, and 200 Volunteers. Randy is the past President of the South Cobb Rotary Club. He is married to Annie and they have two college aged children.
