Jeri Barr Presented with Glass Ceiling Award

Cobb Executive Women (CEW) presented its 2011 Glass Ceiling Award to Center for Family Resources CEO Jeri Barr this morning at the Cobb Chamber’s First Monday Breakfast.

In her position as CEO for more than 27 years, Barr has dedicated her life to helping women achieve their highest potential. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from a small financial assistance agency to a multi-function human service organization, serving the needs of the whole family in order to help them attain self-sufficiency and responsibility for their family.

CFR has become a beacon of hope for those in need. By creating a series of professional development programs that are specifically designed to prepare women to secure opportunities in the workforce, Barr has helped thousands of women find a better future for both themselves and their families. Barr’s outstanding leadership has helped many women break through the glass ceiling.

The Glass Ceiling Award recognizes an individual for promoting qualified women in their personal and professional development. Previous winners include Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens; Bonnie Cole of United Way Metro Atlanta; Joe Daniell of United Community Bank and Dr. Lisa Rossbacher of Southern Polytechnic State University.
