Donald B. Beaver

  Donald B. Beaver became President and CEO of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce in January 2010. As president and CEO, his focus is enhancing the business environment for the county’s 40,000 plus businesses, as well as the quality for life for Cobb’s citizens.

Don joined the Cobb Chamber of Commerce in February 1997 as the Senior Vice President of the Economic Development Division where he was responsible for attracting new business to Cobb County while encouraging growth and retention among existing businesses. In addition to his Senior Vice President responsibilities, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer in April 1999. In this role, Don coordinated and managed the day-to-day operations of the Chamber and its staff.

In 1994, Don retired as a colonel with the United States Marine Corps after 28 years of service. He then worked for Cobb County Government as the Director for Economic Development.

Don serves on the Governor’s Military Affairs Coordinating Committee, the Georgia Economic Developers Association, Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and the Marine Corps FBI Association.
