LCAA CLASS NOTES

• At the Cobb Chamber's Annual Dinner in January, the following were presented:
  
  - Devan Seabaugh ('98) of MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service was awarded the Mack Henderson Public Service Award.
  
  - The Marietta Daily Journal gave its prestigious 2009 Cobb County Citizen of the Year award to Cobb County Manager David Hankerson ('87).
  
  - The Chairman’s Award was given to former Cobb Chamber President and CEO Bill Cooper ('08, Honorary).
  
  - Two recipients were chosen to receive the Len Gilbert Award: 2009 Cobb Chamber Education Chairwoman Lisa Crossman ('93) of Cobb and Douglas Public Health and 2009 Cobb Chamber Government Affairs Chairman Shawn Davis ('04) of Breakpoint Consulting.
  
  
• Kessel Stelling ('86) was recently named President and COO of Synovus. Stelling currently serves as Regional CEO for Synovus and CEO and President of Bank of North Georgia.
  
  
• The House of Representatives recently released its roster of committee appointments. Congratulations to Judy Manning ('85) who will be serving as the Chairwoman for Children and Youth and as Secretary of Interstate Cooperation.
  
  
• Jennifer New ('06) and her husband Kevin welcomed a son into their family on Feb. 11.
