Senator Hunter Hill (District 6)
  Senator Hunter Hill became a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army, and he went on to graduate from Air Assault, Airborne, and the US Army Ranger Schools. In June, 2001, Hunter took command of a rifle platoon with the 101st Airborne Division. In January, 2002, he led his first platoon into battle in Afghanistan. During his time in the Army, Hunter served three separate tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq, served as a General’s aide in Iraq, achieved the rank of Captain, and earned two Army Commendation Medals, the Meritorious Service Medal and two Bronze Stars.

  After his Army career, Hunter began his business career in real estate and is now the Director of New Business Development for SecurAmerica. Sen. Hill was elected to the State Senate in 2012, and was appointed by his colleagues to serve as deputy whip. He was chosen to serve as Vice Chairman of the Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committee, and Secretary of the Senate Finance Committee and the State and Local Governmental Operations Committee. He is also a member of the Judiciary Non-Civil and Re-apportionment and Redistricting committees.

Senator Judson Hill (District 32)

  Senator Judson Hill was first elected to the Georgia Senate in 2004 by almost 75 percent of the vote to represent East Cobb County and a portion of Sandy Springs in Fulton County.

  Senator Hill currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Appropriations, Insurance and Labor, Rules, and Regulated Industries and Utilities Committees. In 2006, 2008 and 2012 Senator Hill was unanimously elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Caucus. Previously, Senator Hill served as Chair of the Senate Reapportionment and Redistricting and Government Oversight committees, and also as Secretary of the Senate Judiciary committee. He is a past member of the Health and Human Services, Judiciary, Urban Affairs and Transportation Committees. Senator Hill has also served as Deputy Majority Whip for the Senate Republican Caucus.

Senator Barry Loudermilk (District 14)
  Senator Barry Loudermilk serves as Chair of the Science and Technology Committee and as Secretary of the Public Safety and the Veterans, Military and Homeland Security Committees. He is also a member of the Transportation Committee. Sen. Loudermilk first entered public service in 2001-2004, serving as Chairman to the Bartow County Republican Party. He was elected to serve in the State House of Representatives in 2004-2010. Sen. Loudermilk was elected to the State Senate in 2010. In 2006, he was recognized as Georgia Wing Legislator of the Year and National Legislator of the Year by the Civil Air Patrol. Senator Steve Thompson (District 33)
  Senator Steve Thompson has served the 33rd senate district of Georgia since 1990. Sen. Thompson is the longest serving member of the Senate and holds the position of Dean of the Senate. He serves on the Appropriations, Finance, Banking and Financial Institutions and Transportation committees. During his distinguished years in the senate, Senator Thompson has twice chaired the Senate Transportation Committee and, on a national level, served as Vice President of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) where he also served as the chairman of NCSL’s Transportation Committee.

  In 1998 Senator Thompson was appointed a Senior Floor Leader by Governor Roy E. Barnes and during the ensuing four years never lost a bill that he presented, including passage of extensive Education reform and the creation of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority.

Senator Lindsey Tippins (District 37)
  Senator Lindsey Tippins was first elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2010. He represents Senate District 37, located in Northwest Cobb County. He serves as Chairman of the Education and Youth Committee and sits on the Appropriations, Judiciary, and Transportation committees.

  Sen. Tippins previously served for 12 years on the Cobb Board of Education during which he served as chairman for three years. He is the past president of the Georgia Utility Contractor Association and the North Georgia State Fair and has served as a long time board member of both organizations. Sen. Tippins is a board member of the Calvary Children’s Home, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Atlanta Metro region), and was appointed by Governor Perdue to serve on the Georgia Student Finance Commission.

Senator Horacena Tate (District 38)
  Senator Horacena Tate was first elected to the Georgia Senate from the 38th District in 1999. Sen. Tate currently serves on the Appropriations, Education and Youth, Health and Human Services, Retirement, Rules and Urban Affairs committees.

  Dr. Tate currently serves as president of Tate, Marsh and Associates, Inc., a software training, management training and technical writing firm. Sen. Tate is very active in community affairs. She has been the computer literacy advisor for the Butler Street YMCA, a volunteer software instructor for local churches, a delegate representing ClarkAtlanta University at the International Community Education Conference in Trinidad and a speaker for several Metro Atlanta public school functions. During 2001, she served as vice president of Rosalie Wright Community Council. Sen. Tate currently serves as chair of the Atlanta-Fulton County Senate Delegation.

Representative Roger Bruce (District 61)
  Representative Roger Bruce was first elected in 2002 and serves the constituents of House District 64 including parts of Atlanta, as well as unincorporated parts of Douglas and Fulton counties. He currently serves as a member of the House Committees on Game, Fish & Parks, Judiciary, and Small Business Development and Job Creation. Bruce was one of five members of the General Assembly selected by the Center for Policy Alternatives to participate in a one year national leadership development program. Upon completion of the program he was honored to be recognized as a Flemming Fellow, a very select group of national policy makers. Bruce is currently the Vice President of Human Resources for Atlanta Life Financial Group.

Representative John Carson (District 46)
  Representative John Carson was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in October 2011 Special Election run-off. He represents the 46th District, which includes northeast Cobb and southeast Cherokee Counties. He is a CPA and is employed with SunTrust Bank in the Commercial Real Estate group. John was previously employed with Home Depot (Atlanta), KPMG (Atlanta, London UK, and New York) and GE Capital (Connecticut).

  John belongs to the following civic/professional organizations: Northeast Cobb Business Association, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Cobb County YoungLife (Committee member), Georgia Society of CPAs, and the Commercial Finance Association. Representative Sharon Cooper (District 43)
  Representative Sharon Cooper was first elected in 1996 and is currently serving her 7th term as the State Representative for the 41st District of Georgia. In 2000 Cooper was chosen as legislator of the year by the Georgia Republican Party and in 2002 she was elected Caucus Chairman by her Republican colleagues. In 2004 she was elected Majority Caucus Chairman making her the highest ranking woman in the Georgia House. In 2007, in response to her ever increasing committee responsibilities, Rep. Cooper assumed the role of Caucus Chair Emeritus.

  Currently Rep. Cooper chairs the Health and Human Services committee, one of the busiest committees in the House. She was also appointed chairman of the Special Committee on Certificate of Need as well as chair of the Special Committee on Grady Hospital. Rep. Cooper is also a member of the Rules, Judiciary Non-Civil and Regulated Industries committees.

Representative Matt Dollar (District 45)
  Representative Matt Dollar was first elected as a member of the Georgia General Assembly in 2002. He represents House District 45, which includes parts of Cobb County. Dollar serves on the World Congress Building Authority. In the legislature, he serves as Chairman of the Interstate Cooperation Committee and is a member on the Appropriations, Insurance, Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment, and Transportation Committees. Outside of his legislative duties, Dollar works as a commercial real estate broker.

Representative Earl Ehrhart (District 36)
  Representative Earl Ehrhart was first elected in 1988 and is the longest serving Republican in the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 36, which includes portions of Northwest Cobb County. He is a member of the Appropriations Committee where he serves as Vice-Chairman of Higher Education, Banks and Banking, Higher Education, Rules, and State Institutions and Property Committees. Previously, Earl served as National Chairman of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a nationwide, bipartisan group of legislators.

  The National Federation of Independent Business has named Earl a "Guardian of Small Business", due to his years of work for businesses in Georgia. Recently, Earl received the "Champion of the Free Enterprise System Award" from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia. He also received awards from the Medical Association of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, The Twenty Second Air Force Reserve, and the Georgia Federation of Young Republican.

Representative Stacey Evans (District 42)
  Representative Stacey Evans was elected to the State House in 2010 and represents parts of Smyrna, Marietta and Vinings. As a partner at Wood, Hernacki & Evans, LLC, Stacey is a small business founder and owner. She began her legal career at Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy LLP, which later became Bryan Cave LLP.

  Stacey is active in the community. She currently serves on the boards of directors of Communities in Schools of Marietta/Cobb County and the Cobb Library Foundation. She is the immediate past chair of the Georgia High School Mock Trial program and remains an active volunteer with this organization, which she credits for leading her to law school.

Representative Rich Golick (District 40)
  Representative Rich Golick is serving his 7th term in the Georgia House of Representatives, representing the 34th State House District in Cobb County based in Smyrna. He serves as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee (Non-Civil), the Insurance Committee, the Retirement Committee, the Appropriations Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Rules Committee. Previous to assuming the Chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee this year, Rich served as Governor Sonny Perdue's Senior Administration Floor Leader in the State House for five years.

Representative Charles Gregory (District 34)
  Representative Charles Gregory was raised in Cobb County, Georgia. After completing his primary and secondary education in the Cobb County Public School System, he went on to attend the University of Georgia. He continues to have a vested interest in Georgia’s educational structure and policies through his children, who now attend public school in Cobb County. After college, Charles returned to Cobb County and started a successful computer software and technology business which he continues to operate.

  Charles is passionate about, and dedicated to, the true conservative principles of low taxes, free markets, fiscal responsibility, sound currency, less regulation, property rights, protecting life, protecting civil liberties, protecting gun rights, local control, and obeying the constitution.

  Representative Sheila Jones was elected State Representative for District 44 in November 2004. As a Freshman Legislator, Representative Jones secured funding in the Budget for the Adult Day Care Program at the Harriett G. Darnell Multi-purpose Facility. Representative Alisha Thomas-Morgan (District 39)
  Representative Alisha Thomas-Morgan made history at age 23 by becoming the first African-American to serve in the Georgia House of Representatives for Cobb County. Elected to her fifth term in July 2010, at age 32 Morgan remains one of the youngest members of the entire Georgia General Assembly. A powerful political voice, inspirational speaker and empowering trainer, Morgan is one of today’s trailblazing architects for change.

  Morgan has become a statewide leader in the movement for education reform, forging a bipartisan coalition to pass a bill which empowers parents to access more options within the public school system. In February of 2010, Morgan was selected to participate in a national bi-partisan group of legislators to work under Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and with senior staff at the US Department of Education (DOE) on the reauthorization of "No Child Left Behind" (NCLB). Recently appointed to the National Board of Directors of the Black Alliance of Educational Options (BAEO), Morgan also serves as the national co-chair of the Parent’s Advisory Council of the National Coalition of Public School Options (NCPSO).

  Representative Don Parsons was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1994, after serving in the United States Army Reserves and the Army National Guard for a total of 16 years, then in the telecommunications industry for 35 years. He is the Chairman of the Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Committee.   Representative Ed Setzler was first elected in 2004, serving as the Chairman of the General & Juvenile Law Subcommittee of Judiciary Committee (Non-civil) and on the Education, Appropriations, Transportation, and Rules committees.

  As a citizen legislator, Rep. Setzler works as an Engineering Manager at MACTEC, a nationwide engineering and environmental firm based in metro-Atlanta. Since joining MACTEC in 2001, Ed has directed a nationwide environmental testing program impacting over 800 communities nationwide and served as a facilities engineering consultant to the US military.

Representative Michael Smith (District 41)

  Representative Michael Smith represents the 41st House District of Georgia, which includes Marietta, Powder Springs, and Smyrna. Smith ran for office because he wanted to bring commonsense and leadership to the General Assembly. Since he has been elected, Smith has built a proven track record of fighting for policies that will reduce the amount of regulations and create an environment that will help to strengthen our nation’s economy and create jobs, protect our seniors, and return fairness to our justice system.

  Representative Smith serves on three committees that allow him to directly address and influence many issues important to the 41st district, as well as shape how the overall state government functions. Representative David Wilkerson (District 38)
  Representative David Wilkerson has been active in Georgia politics for nearly 20 years. He has volunteered on numerous campaigns and served in various leadership positions with the Democratic Party, where he recently served as Cobb County Democratic Party Chairman. David was the first African American to serve in this position in Cobb County. Currently, David is a Project Consultant at Deloitte & Touche of Resources Global Professionals.

  His volunteer activities have included Junior Achievement, Osborne Community Coalition, Russell Elementary PTA and Dad’s Club, Cobb County Schools Facility and Technology Committee, the Cobb Schools Foundation, serving on local non profit boards, and serving as an Elder at his church.
