Ambassadors
Ambassadors meet monthly and serve as volunteer Chamber liaisons by contacting new members, attending Chamber functions and facilitating personal connections among members. By acclimating new members to the Chamber's programs and services, Ambassadors serve as mentors to fellow members. Ambassadors receive recognition throughout the year at various Chamber events and on the Chamber's website.
Contact Jeremy Cronemeyer at jcronemeyer@cobbchamber.org for more information on the Ambassador program.
2012 Ambassador of the Year
Barbara Woodhouse of Atherton Place at WellStar Health System has been recognized as the 2011 Ambassador of the Year at the Cobb Chamber’s First Monday Breakfast on April 9. Barbara was awarded this honor for her dedication to serving new members through the Ambassador program. She has been with Atherton Place for 23 years and currently serves as the senior care community’s marketing coordinator. Barbara has been an Ambassador since March of 2011 and enjoys helping to contact new members to help them get involved with Chamber activities. The Chamber’s Ambassadors serve as volunteer liaisons between the Chamber and the community and they call on new and existing members to ensure they are getting the most out of their membership. “It’s a real honor,” said Woodhouse, “as many other Ambassadors deserve the recognition of this award just as much as I do.” Ms. Woodhouse’s contributions to the betterment of Cobb do not end with her participation in the Ambassador program. She has also participated in the Chamber’s Business Builders program since April of 2010. In addition, she is an active member of the Catholic Church of St. Ann and the Rotary Club of Marietta Metro.
November Ambassador of the Month
The November Ambassador of the Month is Mark Zanagari, owner of Dollar Wise Cartridge, LLC. Mark and his company were nominated for the 2012 Small Business of the Year Awards for their contributions to the local business community. Dollar Wise provides ink and toner cartridges and prides itself on providing free delivery within two business days of every order.
In addition to his Chamber involvement, Mark serves as vice president and membership director at the West Cobb Business Association, marketing director at the Marietta Business Association and membership director at the South Cobb Business Association. He is also on the Membership and Government & Community Affairs committees at the Acworth Business Association and is a member of the Kennesaw, Vinings and East Cobb business associations as well as the Mableton Business Exchange.
As an ambassador to the Keep It In Cobb initiative, Mark continually educates the Cobb community on the importance of conducting business locally. As a volunteer on several committees, including Our Father’s Hands Art with Heart and The Bullock Hope House Golf for Hope, Mark loves giving back. He and his family also volunteer much of their time at Vinings Church, where Mark is on the board of the Siena Business Guild.
